DGy codecs are designed for mission-critical applications including simulation, debriefing, training, command and control, and missile testing. DGy codecs support recording and streaming of computer, radar, sonar, FLIR, X-Ray, and HD video signals. Models are available with a built-in removable hard disk for local storage and an optional fixed drive. Models without internal storage use external network attached storage devices, such as a RAID, to offer virtually unlimited capacity.

Multiple DGy codec units can be interconnected to support simultaneous recording of multiple channels. Operation is simple and intuitive using an embedded web-based graphical user interface. Codecs can also be operated using third-party controllers.
